Bio Coming Soon
Linda Lenart
Board Director
I am a “part time” resident of the Lake Miramichi Community, I am there as often as possible, because it is my “happy place”. We love to spend lots of time with our children and 4 grandchildren who live very close to us. When I am not up north I am busy with the irrigation company that we have owned and operated for 30 years. My formal education is in business and marketing. In 2017 we purchased our home in Evart. When we purchased the property I never dreamed that we would form such wonderful friendships and have such great neighbors.
Being appointed to the board came as a “surprise” to me. I see our community as a “little hidden gem” that I am proud to be a part of. As a board member I will work hard to protect, promote and improve the Lake Miramichi Community. I believe in open and transparent decision making and know that it will take hard work and the efforts of many to maintain our community and keep it affordable for all.
I look forward to fulfilling my position and bringing us together. I think M.J. Wheatley said it well “One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn’t as individuals”.
John Thompson
Board Director
My name is John Thompson. I have been an homeowner at Lake Miramichi since 2013. I currently own my house which is located at 9150 Ottawa Cv. which sits on 16 lots. I also own 4 lots on the south side of the development. I love Lake Miramichi and am interested in protecting and improving our community in a manner that is mutually beneficial for all property owners and I would like to be considered for an open position on the board.
I believe that my professional experience and education will be beneficial.
My educational background, I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration. I am a business owner and real estate investor. I am the owner of Thompson Property Management and manage my own rental properties, along with the properties of my clients. I have experience with real estate and it's a high priority for me for the property values at Lake Miramichi to be protected and increase in value for the mutual benefit of all that own property in this area.
I believe in the conservative use of the funds paid by the members of our community and the will of the people in its use. I believe in the honesty and transparency in the conduct of the board and the use of LMPOA funds.
In April of 2022 I retired from the Melvindale Police Department, with is located on the boarder of Southwest Detroit, for those who are not familiar with where that is. I retired as a command officer at the rank of Sergeant, Law enforcement gave me a unique set of skills which I think will translate to the community and serve our association well. Skills in communication, conflict resolution, complex problem solving and community relations. I have years of experience in meeting the needs of others, serving my community and making sure that, above all, people are safe.
I am hopeful to have the opportunity to serve our community.

Thomas Cupples
Board Director
I am semi-retired. My previous work experience includes managing the manufacturing plant of a large confectionery company an downing/operating a picture framing business.
Living with income/budget constraints has always been of paramount importance, and I pledge to
exercise a responsible approach to issues facing the board.
I further pledge as a board member to strike the bylaw language that allows the board to amend the bylaws and to establish financial transparency.
David Crown
Board Director
Retired 36 years as a police officer and served as a board member to the F.O.P 124.
Assisted in implementing rules and regulations for the F.O.P. Served as member of the union board for Oakland Community College, the POLC. In that capacity I negotiated contracts and language to be used in the contract. I dealt with issues between management and employees.
I attended multiple seminars that help educate me and others attending on dealing with problems and issues that arise between management and employees and the construction and language in a contract.
I worked as a crisis negotiator for 12 years and had several classes dealing with problems and crisis that occur with people in daily life, and the interaction of people in conflict.
In closing, I have owned a home in Lake Miramichi for over 20 years and for the last few have made it my sole residence. I am hoping that my training and experience on working with contracts and working with boards and helping people come to resolutions will benefit the homeowners of Lake Miramichi.
